Numbers and Dolls
Little craft dolls, can be so interesting to work with. Based on the observation that the child knows his/her numbers introduce counting with objects. To begin with only the numbers: 1, 2 and 3 could be used, depending on the progress keep adding more numbers.
Note: It's important that the child recognizes the numbers before counting the objects.
Material: a mat, number cards, interesting objects (dolls) and a basket or a container. As shown in the picture below, the cards can easily be made out of bristle board and white paper, with numbers written on them with a black marker. Laminating the cards can prevent them from damage and make them long lasting.
What a great idea for doll lovers! My daughter loved any activity with dolls, and she would have thought this was great when she was little. Thanks for linking up with Montessori Monday. I featured your post at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/LivingMontessoriNow

ReplyDeleteI love your idea to put the dolls on respected numbers. It a great maths counting games by which my kids will enjoy while learning.
ReplyDeleteHi, that's an effective way of teaching math to children like for example counting objects such as Paper Shredder or chairs. Visual representation of numbers can help children remember numbers and reinforce their learning.
